Average Max 48.2 Average Min 29.8 NOVEMBER 1996 WEATHER REMARKS HAGERSTOWN 1E MARYLAND DAY FIRST FROZEN PRECIPITATION OF THE YEAR 1st- First frozen precipitation of the year this morning as a few light periods of sleet,rain and a few flakes of snow fell between 7:30am and 10:30,trace. 2nd- Cold and windy WNW winds up to 32 mph. 3rd- Cold and breezy NW winds to 22 mph. 7th- Few Sprinkles overnight,trace. Breezy and mild today 70 F. with SSE winds up to 25 mph. HEAVY RAINS STRONG WINDS 8th- Heavy rains and strong winds today as a strong cold front approaches. Rain began around 8am and became very heavy from mid to late morning along with thunderstorms. South winds up 31 mph. Afternoon rains and thunderstorms but not as heavy. Rain ended by 8pm this evening with a total of 3.00" 9th- Few light showers overnight. Cloudy cold and breezy today with more showers 4:30pm-6pm .12" today. West winds to 25 mph. COLDER / SNOW 10th- Some snow showers today between 11:30 am and 2pm, Trace. SNOW!! 14th- First measurable snow of season. Snow began shortly before 5am and was briefly moderate with 1.1" on ground at 7:30am. Snowed lightly all morning untill 1pm but no additional accumulation. High of only 36 F. 15th- Cold low of 17 F. 16th- Another low of 17 F. 17th- Low of 19 F. 18th- Few light showers around midday and this evening .03" fell. 25th- Periods of light rain and showers 3pm to midnight .15". 26th- Rain moderate to heavy at times overnight became more of a drizzle by late morning, also dense fog overnight and this morning .95" rain fell. Became windy and colder this afternoon and evening with a few snow flurries. NW winds up to 39 mph. 27th- Few flurries overnight, windy. A few rather heavy snow showers mid morning, windy and cold all day. 28th- THANKSGIVING- Cloudy and cold high only 33 F. Few snow flurries early this morning and around noon. 30th- A cold light rain developed this afternoon and continued into the evening .21" by midnight.
