Clearing breezy and Pleasant today. 2nd: Warm and humid. Some thunderstorms in the area this evening between 7pm and 11pm with some thunder and lightning and a little rain .03" but no direct hits. Wind gusts to 22 mph. 3rd: Breezy today NW wind gusts to 27 mph. Became cloudy this afternoon with a few sprinkles late this afternoon. Light showers this evening between 6:30pm and 8pm .03" 5th: Mostly cloudy and cool with a few sprinkles today and some light showers this evening between 5:30pm and 7pm .02" 7th: A rather cloudy, cool and breezy day with WNW winds up to 28mph. A few sprinkles around noon, trace. 9th: Cold morning low of 43 F. Near the record of 38 in 1932. Light rain This afternoon and evening .21" by midnight. 10th: Light rain, drizzle and fog overnight. Some drizzle this morning till noon. .04" Cloudy and cool. 11th: Brief Shower 1:30am .03" Rain and drizzle late this afternoon and evening .31" by midnight. 12th: Light rain and drizzle overnight. A few showers this morning till noon. Became warmer hazy and very humid today. .18" rain fell. 13th: Showers this morning between 5am - 8am. Showers and thunderstorms this afternoon between 1pm - 5pm some intense lightning and some brief heavy rains. .40" total. 15th: Light shower 6am .01". Showers and thunderstorms between 3:30pm & 7pm were of light intensity. .23" total rain. TORNADO X3 !!! SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ! TORNADOES !!! 16th: A Powerful Storm & Tornado rips through Hagerstown 6-7pm doing most of it's damage to the west side of the City as the storm and tornado moved from south to north. At this station 1.26" of rain fell, most of it in 20 minutes and winds only clocked up to 33 mph here but were 69 mph at the Washington County airport. Alot of severe lightning. No damage at all in this end of town from winds. The National Weather Service inspected the area and confirmed that Three Separate F-1 Tornadoes Hit this Area . I personally saw a rotating funnel cloud a few miles to the SW at 6:15pm but it became wrapped in rain as it moved north then the sky turned an erie blackish green. A tremendous amount of tree and powerline damage. Large Trees uprooted and blown over and some moderate structural damage. The Valley Mall had some damage to its roof and walls. The Damage was path was at least 3 miles long and 1/4 mile wide. 17th: Another thunderstorm this evening 6:30pm - 7pm with a good bit of Sharp lightning, brief heavy downpour .18", winds only to 23 mph here, but again the Washington County Airport reported 49 mph wind gusts. 19th: Thunderstorms moved in this morning 7:25am - 9am were rather intense with wind gusts to 30 mph heavy downpours and sharp lightning. Storm was more severe in the South end of town with more wind damage with large trees blown over and powerlines down. Reports of 50 mph winds. Showers through 11am .63". 20th: Nearby thunderstorms to NNE overnight 2:30-3:30am dropped .12" rain. Hot 90 F. 21st: Hot 90 F. 22nd: Warm Hazy and Humid. Showers 2-3pm .07" 23rd: Overnight fog. Hazy Hot & Very Humid today. Thunderstorms of light intensity 6-7:30pm .14" rain. 24th: Dense fog overnight and this morning. Hot & Humid today. 25th: Very oppressive. Very Hazy Hot and Humid today. Heat Index Peaked at 108 F. today. 26th: Another very Hot, Very Hazy, Very Humid Day. High of 96 F. was near the record of 98 in 1954. Heat Index Peaked at 111 F. this afternoon. Thunderstorm to North around 5pm Just some thunder and gusty winds no rain. 27th: Not as hot high of 90 F. Lightning and thunder to W and SW late this Evening but no rain. 28th: Showers and some nearby thunderstorms 12:30am - 2am .09" rain. Much cooler today only in the 70's. Some drizzle and light rain around noon. VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORM 30th: Showers between 5:30am and 7:30am .11" fell. Very intense fast moving thunderstorm 5:30pm - 6:00pm with strong winds gusting to 44 mph very heavy rain in a very short period of time. The entire storm lasted about 15 minutes but .51" of rain fell in 5 minutes. Some sharp lightning. Some minor to moderate tree and powerline damage reported from the winds and some Lightning damage.
