NW winds gusting to 32 mph. Some heavier snow squalls this evening with white-out conditions 10pm-10:30pm produced 0.1" snowfall also with wind gusts to 32 mph. 2nd: Blowing and drifting snow overnight and today as strong winds blew from the NW gusting to 33 mph causing wind chills to average near 5 and as low as -14 F. 3rd: Cloudy with a few flurries today. A brief period of snow this evening produced 0.1" of snow. 4th: A few flurrries overnight. Light snow this morning 8am-11am accumulated to 0.5" Sun came out briefly this afternoon and the temperature shot up to 41 F. HO HUM 5th: Bright,sunny rather mild and breezy with WNW winds gusting to 30 mph. 6th: Partly cloudy and mild high 47 F. 9th: Cold low of 15 F. but a rapid warm up with a high 51 F. today. FEW SHOWERS 10th: Partly cloudy, hazy and very mild today high of 57 F. Rain showers this evening 9:30pm-midnight .06". 11th: A few light showers overnight and this morning around 7am .02" fell. 12th: Cloudy colder high only 34 F. RAIN 13th: Cloudy cold a few late evening rain showers. 14th: Rain overnight midnight-8am .34" fell. Some reports of freezing rain in the colder locations. Became windy and colder late this afternoon with west winds gusting to 37 mph. 15th: Breezy and colder. SLEET / MUCH WARMER / WINDY / COLDER / WHAT? 16th: A very brief period of sleet around 3am (trace). Became much warmer today as the temperature hit a high of 63 F. but not a record. Then became windy and colder again as a cold front plowed through late this afternoon with gusty wnw winds to 38 mph and falling temps. SNOW / SLEET / FREEZING RAIN / RAIN 18th: Snow began around 4am accumulated to about an inch at 8am before it changed to sleet and freezing rain. Mostly sleet through noon with 1.9" total of snow and sleet then freezing rain most of the afternoon which caused a light coating of ice on trees, wires, etc. A break in precip between 5pm-9pm. Rain fell 9pm- midnight. 1.40" total water content today. Fog this evening. 19th: Rain and fog overnight midnight-3am .19" fell. 20th: Partly to mostly cloudy and windy today WNW gusts up to 32 mph. 23rd: Few sprinkles today around noon. VERY WARM / RECORD HEAT 24th: A beautiful warm day with a high of 74 F. Not a record though which was 82 on this date in 1985 That was the warmest winter temp ever. 25th: RECORD HIGH Temperature of 79 F. beat the old record of 76 in 1930. BACK DOOR FRONT DIDN'T KNOCK ! 26th: Cloudy and much colder today with a high of only 50 F. just after midnight. A few periods of drizzle also today. WARMER / COLDER / RAIN / WIND 27th: Warmer and windy today from SSE with gusts to 30 mph. Rain began this evening around 7:30pm was moderate to heavy at times .66" by midnight. 28th: Rain midnight-1am .07" fell. Sunny and rather mild today but very windy with NW winds gusting up to 40 mph around 1pm. 29th: Warm ending to February with a high o 61 F. February 2000 was warmer than normal with the 38.1 F. average but did not make it into the top ten warmest. The warmest February was in 1976 with an average of 41.9 The average 3 month winter temperature was 35.5 F. warmer that the normal of 32.1 but did not make it into the top ten warmest. The warmest winter was the 1931-32 season with an average of 40.2.
